Story Update 1/20/16: All three women have since deleted their tweets and  Amy has responded and tweeted that she would never ever steal jokes, and also spoke out explaining where her jokes came from. Amy Liebman also clarified her original statement, with a tweet that said she never said Amy stole her joke, she just said it was the same, and that she wrote it first.  Read the full update and hear the audio here.

Three comedians are accusing Amy Schumer of stealing their jokes.

Monday night a single tweet from comedian Wendy Liebman ignited a bit of a firestorm over allegations that Amy Schumer has been stealing jokes, not only from Liebman but also from Kathleen Madigan and Tammy Pescatelli.  The original tweet from Liebman, which has since been deleted, said “Between Amy Schumer doing 1 of my best jokes on her HBO special and this meme of my joke, I’m done with social media.”  The meme (which was unrelated to Schumer) depicted an image of a pinup style woman quoting one of Liebman’s jokes. Writer, director and comedian Chuck Martin replied to Liebman’s tweet suggesting she talk to Kathleen Madigan, implying that perhaps Madigan had a similar beef.  Now looped in to the conversation on twitter, Madigan replied, “wow. finally. get ready for a shit storm” and then a second tweet saying she has a split screen showing a “disgusting amount of stealing” that she will release adding “game over. I’m done.”

Tammy Pescatelli joined the conversation posting links to the allegedly stolen material and the original material that Schumer supposedly relied on. “What has always been amazing to me is that she purports to be a feminist and yet only steals from other female comedians. If we call her on it we are “jealous” or career shamed. Be successful. WE want you to do well, just do it with your own material. BTW she blocked me.”  Pescatelli posted a joke she made on her 2006 Comedy Central Half Hour and a sketch that she alleges rips off her joke and alleges that there are many more instances. “So many more but nobody listens…at least Cosby knocked his victims out b4 he raped them,” she tweeted. Pescatelli claims she has no beef, just what she calls oppression and degradation. Her last tweet says “I too have a dream #MLKDay.” The women allege Schumer used stolen material in her stand up act, her movie Trainwreck, and her critically acclaimed sketch show, Inside Amy Schumer.

Liebman’s original tweet was deleted and replaced with a tweet saying “It’s all good” late last night.  Shitstorm over? We’ll see.

A reddit poster created a video compiling the instances being accused. You can watch it here.
