Police: Man Accused of pouring hot grease on woman

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY - AL — Tuscaloosa police have charged a 40-year-old with domestic violence assault.

Investigators were called to the 2900 block of Ozment Road Sunday morning. The victim says the suspect, Anthony Dwayne McGraw, poured hot grease on her while she was sleeping. Investigators say this appears to have occurred because the couple's relationship was ending. The victim had severe burns to her face and arms. She was taken to UAB for treatment. Her injuries were serious, but she is expected to be okay. The suspect was not on the scene when law enforcement arrived.

The U.S. Marshall task force picked up McGraw Monday. He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County jail on $60,000 bond.
