THE FINE PRINT: All of these were originally compiled as INDIVIDUAL spreadsheets. Due to popular demand, I have compiled them all at one link for mass perusal.
3
I tweeted these out via my account @jjfuller72 originally. https://twitter.com/jjfuller72
4
Some of the spreadsheets used a "weighting" (generally noted as a % in the top column) and then ranked within that spreadsheet at the end in a bright yellow column. There was no effort to make a cumulative ranking of all the data sheets. I feel I put a lot of effort and thought into this, but understand that many will argue various points. With hundreds of data point, it would be unheard of to not have gripes about what is included and/or how it is weighted.

* NOTES *Candidate schools in pink, Recent expansion additions in Orange*Arbitrary weights put on each category based on several considerations. Extra weight given to sections with complete data sets, hard numbers (e.g. enrollment data), and actual statistical analyses of the fanbase itself.* Poll done during CFB season (Oct) and during phases of conference realignment & seems to over-rate those teams that were “on the market” at the time. Measures were taken to avoid spam voting.*Not a scientific poll, but given weight due to how fresh the info is. Seems to undervalue Basketball fans/schools* Chose 2009 for comparison since overall CFB attendance has declined each year since then. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/writer/jon-solomon/25418087/college-football-attendance-drops-for-fifth-straight-year-but-at-slower-rate * Undergraduates are much more likely to be/become fans than graduate/ post-graduate/ professional students? = Couldn't find anything after searching* Top 50 schools ranked here: https://www.alumnifactor.com/# *This represents the weigthed rank-order place of each of the category listed in the table. * NOTES *Candidate schools in pink, Recent expansion additions in OrangeVery cool scoring system with plus and minus point system. Would give more weight, but it is 6+ years old already* Since 1936 (AKA "Poll Era"). Weighted lower since the ESPN Prestige Rankings are highly based on AP Rankings* Only P5 (+ ND) schools included but last page shows where BYU would land. Ends w/ "The numbers do not lie & history suggests the Cougars should be included w/ the 'big boys' of CFB"* Low weighting due to ranking system not published. It's "Bleacher Report" but done by a "senior writer"*Very odd ranking system w/ spurious results. UConn over Baylor? Valdosta State over Texas Tech? Kansas over BYU? Only schools in their top 9 were given credit for their NCs. Notre Dame & BYU w/ 0 NCsSelf compiled data at Google Spreadsheet with links to source data at Massey Ratings* Self compiled data @ Google Spreadsheet w/ links to source data @ Massey Ratings, ^Weighted lower than 10yr data since 3 yr data is already included in the 10 yr data*Significant stadium expansion since 2009 (undervalued figures?). See link above for details. Also, chosen since overall attendance @ CFB games has been DECLINING nationally since 2009. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_Football_Playoff* Relatively lower weight since 3-1 in bowl games would be the same percentage rank as 30-10.*OU is 2nd nationally in this category, trailing only Notre Dame's 4 AAA HOF membersFYI SMU holds record with 16 years of probationSMU holds record with 9 years of bowl bans*The assigned percentages are arbitrarily assigned based on what author feels Big12 University Presidents would value

Self Compiled data on spreadsheet from link above* Weighted less since 3 year data is already "baked into" the 10 year data. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Academic_All-America_Team_Members_of_the_Year*Weighted heavily since this is an "equalizer" between P5 & non-P5 Athletics Budgets. Also, many schools listed as "0" profit actually ran a deficit as noted in "Total Subsidy" column * Unweighted figures presented here to calculated "Unsubsized Revenue" to the right. ^Private universitiesare not required to respond to “open-records requests”--figures used for these schools are from NCAA reporting at previous links^ “Total Subsidy: The sum of students fees, direct and indirect institutional support and state money.” * Private Universities don't report.* Obtained from subratcting the subsidy from the Revenue figures in previous two columns*The assigned percentages are arbitrarily assigned based on what author feels Big12 University Presidents would value
