Window Dock applications such as AWN, Docky and Kiba are often used by users seeking something with more visual pizazz than the traditional ‘icon + text’ window option present in the default GNOME-Panel.
But what if the traditional way could also be made to look “sexy”?
OMG! Ubuntu! reader Andy proposed the following design option to AWN’s developers, suggesting that adding in support for something similar to his design (click to view larger) would help broaden the appeal of the application.
Andy told us: –
“I think it would be a good option for all people who don’t like the new desktop style of Unity or Gnome Shell, which both don’t have a classic taskbar anymore.”
