Regional Board Qualifications
I- What NCSY is All About
NCSY is the most effective and dynamic Jewish teenage outreach organization in North America. Being part of NCSY means connecting with positive Jewish role models and sharing in a range of exciting social and educational activities that welcome each Jewish teenager and encourage them to grow in their understanding and commitment to Judaism.
II- What being on Regional Board is all about
Being on the New England NCSY Regional Board means that you are an ambassador of NCSY in your school and community. Board members will attend and exhibit leadership at all NCSY events for which you are invited and will take the necessary steps and sacrifices in your personal schedule to see to your NCSY responsibilities.
III- Board Members must meet the following Criteria:
1- Currently an active member of NCSY and in grades 9-11
2- Commitment and pride in Jewish practice, and agree to be held to a higher standard on NCSY events.
IV. Responsibilities
In addition to the role-specific responsibilities outlined below, each REBO member is required to:
a. Attend and actively participate in all programs
b. Create connections and recruit other Jewish teens to NCSY
c. Participate in weekly learning
d. Collect money for scholarships through the New England NCSY Torah Fund
e. Attend National Leadership Boot Camp (August 27-30), and New England NCSY's Leadership Training Seminar (September 4-5). (tentative)
Elections, Voting, and Interview procedures will be sent out once we've reviewed your application.
