Melissa Rivers hosts intimate get-together for Joan’s close friends

Melissa Rivers hosted an intimate gathering at her home after the funeral of her mother, Joan Rivers, sources say.

At the get-together at Joan’s New York address, Melissa decorated the same way her mother traditionally did for socializing.

“The house was ablaze,” said a spy of all the candles illuminating the home.

Sources said Melissa also arranged flowers the way her beloved mom did.

“It was like Joan was going to come down the stairs,” a spy marveled. “Melissa presented it just like Joan had done. It will probably be the last time we see the house that way.”

We’re told guests included Blaine Trump, Cheri Kaufman and Bill Sclight, author Nancy Collins, Lady Sharon Sondes and Elie Tahari exec Scott Currie, who planned Rivers’ Temple Emanu-El service with appearances by Audra McDonald, Deborah Norville and Hugh Jackman.

Meanwhile, as grieving Melissa lit candles for Joan, the Broadway League said it would dim theater lights Tuesday “due to the outpouring of love and respect” for the late comic.
