Chinese Vegetarian Cooking
If you want to learn about cooking Chinese vegetarian dishes, learn about a healthy way of eating, prepare a balanced meal and have fun, you are in the right class!

In the next eight classes, you will learn about:

• The meaning of vegetarianism
• Cooking various dishes of Chinese veggie dishes
• Preparing a nutritious and balanced meal
• Chinese cooking skills and tips

To ensure that each student receives individual attention, our class size is limited so sign- up today!


Date:  10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9
Time: 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Venue: Dining Hall of Hsi Lai Temple (3456 Glenmark Drive Hacienda Hts CA 91745)
Registration fee (Non-refundable): $ 20/per class  or $140 for whole semester (All cooking ingredients included) For the eighth class, student would be buying the cooking ingredients.

If you have decided that this is the right class for you, please continue to read over the following rules and regulations for the Chinese Vegetarian Cooking Class in Hsi Lai Temple.

1. Classes will start on time. Please be punctual.

2. Please help clean up after classes.

3. Please bring your own pen, notebook, apron, lunch box and eating utensils.

4. You may bring your own knife and cutting board if desired.

5. For hygiene purpose, please tie up your hair if you have long hair, and do not wear high heels or open-toed sandals.

6. Please notify us if you cannot make it to class.

7. Classes might be conducted through translation.

8. All students are accepted until all spaces are filled. Cooking class will only start if there is ten or more students attending. In
the event of class cancellation, a make-up class will be scheduled and students will be notified via Email.

9. You will be required to sign a liability waiver on the first class.

10. International Buddhist Progress Society (Hsi Lai Temple) reserves the right to terminate the training of any student ats any time for misconduct, theft, use of alcohol or drugs, disruptive behavior, or other reasons, as they in their discretion shall think fit.

11. International Buddhist Progress Society (Hsi Lai Temple) reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of its programs, and may use any such photographic or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes without any remuneration to the student/participant. The student agrees to assign all right, title and interest they may have in or to any media in which their name or likeness might be used to International Buddhist Progress Society (Hsi Lai Temple).

12. We reserve the right to substitute ingredients and menu items if needed.
