Arvind Kejriwal should have checked records: Anna Hazare

PUNE: Social crusader Anna Hazare on Wednesday blamed the BJP government for the raging controversy over the CBI raid but also chided chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for not checking the background of Rajendra Kumar before appointing him as principal secretary .
"This Rajendra Kumar case has not happened after Arvind's government came to power.It is one-and-a-half-year-old case.All these days the files were with the BJP government.Why did they not act that time?" asked Anna, adding that BJP has to be blamed in this case.
He added, "Arvind has been fighting against corruption since the beginning. In his life, he has been fighting a big battle against corruption. But I have been repeatedly telling him to check the background and character of people around him."
Anna added that Arvind made a mistake in appointing Rajendra Kumar as the principal secretary. “This is a mistake made by not Arvind but by his government. They should have checked the detailed background of the officer, his character and standing in society ,“ said Anna.
