After spotting the many Stan's Donuts shops around Chicago, it was not surprising to see one on my way to the airport by the blue line. On a Monday afternoon, it was not busy at all. I ordered the carrot cake and birthday cake to go. If I hadn't already had my coffee, this would be a perfect combo.
The place is very pink and cute. I wish I had the opportunity to hang around.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2023
I'm in Chicago and everywhere I go I make it a must to try local donuts.
Well what better way.
Its 32 degrees out and I'm craving some sweets after down shopping in the area.
I decided to get the minis to try diff flavors.
The Chocolate dipped
The sugar cookie
Birthday cake
Vanilla cake
Amazing. Perfectly glazed and baked.
We went at 5pm and they tasted as if they were just made.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 23, 2024
Wanted to quickly review this spot in particular as I received very friendly customer service from Nisha today! She made a great recommendation in suggesting the pistachio Matcha iced latte which paired surprisingly well with the chocolate old-fashioned donut. My short time in Chicago, she's been a stellar representation of what Chicago hospitality looks like. Will be coming here for breakfast every day I'm here.

--Location/Parking--
The location I went to is near the Damien stop on the Blue Line. There is NO parking lot that I can see, but the location is convenient to the Blue Line.
--Ambience--
The interior reminds me of a cross between a 50s bakery which the mixer adoring the walls and a big family style table space in the middle. You get the feeling in the back they make their own donuts. There are plenty of tables along the side to chill and relax and the napkin holders display the Wi-Fi instructions. There are two restrooms to choose from and two doors to enter and exit from so it does not feel very claustrophobic. The restroom was clean and had pink signage and the lighting was a nice pink ambience. Upbeat relaxing music can be heard playing throughout the bakery.
--Service/Staff--
I came on a Sunday afternoon and there were two employees. One was taking the donut order and the other was taking the coffee/hot items. They were friendly, but it was confusing why they need two employees when I was the only person in line ordering.
--Food/Products--
I ordered three items. One was the PB& J donut, which was a freshly baked heaven coated peanut butter on the outside and a jelly filling on the inside. The other item I order was a pretzel bun, egg, bacon, and cheese were a disappointment because the egg was bland, but fluffy and the pretzel bun which they reheated and slightly burned was hard. The last item I order was an espresso, nothing special, just a typical espresso.
--Capacity--
There are plenty of tables, maybe 8 or 10 tables, a countertop. Plenty of space, when I came in, I saw at least three people lounging around surfing the internet, talking, and enjoying their food.
--Overall--
I will be back to try their other donuts. The location makes it easy since it is right off Damien on the Blue Line. I would probably avoid their "hot" items, since I was disappointed with the pretzel bun, but it could be an old item.Helpful 8Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Nov 20, 2022
True story, I actually know Stan Berman! His daughter Leslie, a good friend of mine, recently sent me a box of Stan's donuts to our house and that's when I realized the connection! I just happened to be in Chicago and got to stop into this store.
I ordered the birthday cake donut (my favorite from the assortment she sent us) and some coffee. They were both great! I have to say being at a Stan's for the first time was super fun.
His legacy started in LA (closer to me) and was brought to Chicago by his partner. Stan is long since retired (I believe he is now 93). I have never experienced Stan's before today and it is truly an awesome donut shop! Definitely give'em a try!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 102186962Jun 6, 2023
Today my sister took me to this amazing Coffee and Donuts Shop. It's actually my first time ordering here this mini donuts. I felt in love with the decorations and the way they have the display of their products. The service was friendly and they take their time to explain and provide a good quality service.

If you get a chance to stop in and grab a seat. I was able to come in and enjoy the music and free wifi. Password is posted on the napkin holder. Highly recommend.

This donut is make like a croissant where it is very fluffy with flavored cream inside and lightly dusting of sugar on the top. I can't say no to this at all. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy other donuts too like the pistachio glazed or just an old-fashion. All these delights are fairly more expensive compared to other donut shops but you don't get the uniqueness in the textures and taste that keeps me coming back for more. Cost per donut is $4.25 for my Croissant.
This location is super busy but towards the end of the day they seem to have 1 or 2 left which is good since if there was more there, I may buy them all. I highly recommend you try a donut here. - Tequila W.Huntsville, AL02363Feb 13, 2024
Donuts are always good here. The best donut they have is the Toffee Cake Donut. Small café, overpriced food options and decent coffee.

Phenomenal espresso drinks and the best vegan donuts I've had in a while. Most US cafes' espressos vary by the barista making them but they were exceptional every time no matter who was making them.
