Hey Beautiful People,
My name is Raymond "Ray Mez" Woods and I'm a inspiring Fashion Photographer / Creative Director. Currently based in Delaware but travel to varies cities and states such as Philly, New York City, Maryland and more in the future.
Started my photography / blogging journey in 2010 with a brand I created called Secdum Society. I wanted to create a space where all outcast creatives can come together to work and inspire other artists to do the same.
While putting all my focus on my brand my photography career was starting to suffer. So I went to school to further my education in photography to find my niche in the industry.
My work is based on shooting on location ( outside) 99% of the time and I have mastered that area of photography. While my "on location " shoots continue to get recognized, I still have a lot to learn about studio photography. I've always been afraid to try / tackle studio photography ( indoor) because of the following reasons :
1. It was too much money to invest up front
2. I broke my lens twice trying to shoot indoors
3. Way too many gear options to choose from
4. Never felt like the right time to "Do it"
5. I've failed too many times. Never saw the need to try again..until Now !
My 2018 resolution was to learn how to shoot studio photography, select the right equipment for me , and start up my own studio, one step at a time. Now that I have mastered at least two of those milestone I'm ready to take these last leaps in fulfill my calling!
BUT I NEED YOUR HELP !!!
Many of you guys know that photography equipment is very expensive, hard hard hard work and overall A LOT to grasp. That's why I need everyone's help making my dreams come true. With bills, school and work constantly draining my money pool , It's taking forever to get my dream studio up in running on time.
I'm looking to raise enough money to jump start my Fashion, Editorial, and Portrait photography in Late spring 2018. Portrait photography has always inspire me more then other areas of photography because It captures the soul of real people. With this dream studio my voice would be finally heard through my art.
"I want to create beautiful art with controlled lighting to redefine art through my eyes. "
I rarely ask for much but this dream of mines can't simply "just die". It doesn't matter what you give as long as you can give what you can with a kind heart . This dream will mean the world to me and if I achieve this I will forever be grateful.
